Discharge Criteria
A child admitted with severe acute malnutrition based on mid-upper arm circumference criteria,
can be discharged when target rate is reached, or after gaining 15% of the admission weight.
A child admitted with severe acute malnutrition based on edema criteria
will be discharged when there is no edema for 2 consecutive visits, 14 days.
Please remember to always prepare monthly reports, as per national format,
and send it to the Woreda health office and always request for new supplies one month before the stock finishes.
